Travel Grants
The Organizing Committee of the Symposium on HS Advances anticipates a limited number of travel grants will be available. The awards are for junior investigators (within 10 years of completion of training), residents, fellows, post-docs, professional and graduate students with a demonstrated interest in HS.
Candidates from all countries will be considered. To be eligible, applicants must be the presenter of an accepted abstract. In planning travel that is eligible for travel grant reimbursement, travel expenses that will qualify for reimbursement by the grant include: (a) Coach airfare travel on a U. S. flag air carrier; or (b) driving a personal vehicle [must be less than 750 miles roundtrip]; or (c) train or bus travel. Hotel can be booked and will be reimbursed up to the travel award amount after the conference.
Travel Grant recipients must pay the SHSA Registration Fee. Registration costs are not covered by the travel award.
To apply, please select the Travel Grant tick box in the online abstract submission.
CHSF Trainee Scholarships
In addition to the SHSA Travel Grants, the Canadian HS Foundation is pleased to announce that three trainee scholarships ($1,000 CAD each) are available to Canadian dermatology residents or fellows who are the presenters of an accepted abstract at the 4th Annual Symposium on Hidradenitis Suppurativa Advances. Please note, the CHSF Trainee Scholarships are managed directly by the CHSF. For more information or to apply for the scholarship, please contact pbelfer@dermatology.ca
